I live in a small town in rural New Zealand with my daughter Alex May and our cat Indie Lane.

I'm currently in a relationship with a top chap, Mott.

I'm a big fan of beauty, alternative fashion, music, cosplay and pop culture (video games, anime, movies). I created Modern Misfit as a place to share makeup, beauty and fashion finds -- I also have a side blog here for cosplay related posts so you can keep tabs on whatever I'm working on as well as events I have attended. I'm vegan, rad, bad and sometimes a little sad.

During the week, I work in reverse logistics for a large online store and in my spare time you're likely to find me hanging out with Alex, playing video games, sewing or playing the ukulele and singing as loud as I can.
